Unitized Curtain Wall is a system in which the façade is divided into several independent unit panels. Each unit panel is fully processed and assembled at the factory, then transported as a whole to the construction site, where only necessary panel connection and adjustment are required to complete the installation.
The core principle of waterproofing design for unitized curtain walls is known as the rain screen principle. For air tightness, a closed airtight line design is adopted, requiring gaskets to form a continuous sealing layer around the four corners of each panel to prevent the formation of air leakage paths.

According to whether the male and female mullions form a closed cavity, they are divided into two types: closed cavity type and open cavity type. The closed-cavity type is of high strength and suitable for buildings with tight construction schedules and relatively tall structures. The open-cavity type is usually of low cost and suitable for buildings with tight construction schedules and relatively low heights.
