Security & Impact-Resistant Solutions

1. Fire-Resistant Doors and Windows

1) Applicable Scenarios

a) Windows facing the pedestrian street

b) For residential buildings higher than 54m, each dwelling unit shall have one safety room equipped with an openable exterior window

2) Fire-Resistant Measures

a) Framing System: increase the profile section size, insert steel cores into the cavities and connect with steel plates at the corners.

b) Fire-rated Glass: include cesium-potassium glass and composite fire-rated glass

c) Accessories

① Use rigid fire-resistant glass setting blocks

② Install steel clips around the glass perimeter

d) Hardware: prefer C-groove hardware with inward-opening tilt-turn system. Change the material from zinc-aluminium alloy to steel to extend fire resistance duration.

e) Sealing System:

① Use fire-resistant gaskets

② Graphite‑based intumescent fire strips: When exposed to fire, they expand to 15‑30 times their original volume, filling surrounding gaps and holes, thus forming a highly effective fire‑ and smoke‑stop barrier. The expanded carbon foam is adhesive, resistant to ash loss or being blown off, and has a slow ablation rate. It can be combined with self‑adhesive tape for easy installation and to prevent the fire strip from detaching.

2. Aluminium Bullet-Resistant Windows

1) Applicable Scenarios

a) Financial institutions: bank counters, ATMs, vaults and other high-risk areas

b) High-end commercial spaces: jewelry stores, luxury showrooms, museums

c) Private residences: luxury villas, safe rooms, etc.

2) Bulletproof Measures

a) Aluminium Profile System: it is based on aluminium windows with bullet-resistant steel plates inserted into the profile cavities to prevent bullets from penetrating through the profiles.

b) Bullet-resistant glass: it consists of multiple layers of glass and interlayer materials. The interlayer is the core component, typically made of high-performance plastic materials such as PC and PVB, which effectively absorb the impact energy of bullets.
